Drawstring Chiffon Shirt Dress

The thing I love about summer/ spring is the ease of picking out a dress and sandals in the morning and walking out the door. No need to fool with picking the right shirt & pants combo (so many things can go wrong in that scenario at 6 AM in the morning). This is probably why 90% of my summer wardrobe consists of dresses in various styles and colors. When I bought this dress I knew it would definitely be one of my go-to looks for work and weekend errands this season.

It's a really simple, no fuss dress. Easy to wear. Not too short or long. The drawstring allows you to pull in the waist to best flatter your body shape.

This dress is really plain so you will need to add cute shoes and maybe even a denim jacket to add more excitement to this look. Here I'm wearing flat coral sandals but you could add cute summer wedges to this. But just because the dress is plain you don't want to over do it with the accessories. It's okay to keep it simple.

This dress has a lining on the bottom half but the top is rather thin. On hot summer days that could be fine but I would suggest wearing a camisole or slip on mild spring days. I'm really into wearing slips now. I know it is old fashioned but they really do help your clothes lay smoother, hide panty lines and add a little bit more warmth on those cooler days. These are available at most department stores. I got mine from Victoria's Secret. Their slips are slightly more expensive but they are usually more attractive and come in a wider variety of styles and colors.
