My Madison Patent Universal Case

I saw this on Coach.com and had to have it! After getting my iPhone 5 I realized that it didn't fit in any of my cute clutches or wallets so I needed a new one. I love anything pink so this really just stood out to me. I splurged the $68 bucks and opted for the gift wrap just for kicks. I was worth it! I felt like Xmas or my Birthday when I opened up the box. My iPhone fits snugly in it... It would probably fit a 4s a lot better but it's good enough for me. I loved it too much to send it back :)

Pulling it all together!

Here is my teal dress from My Forever 21 haul about a month ago, paired with the patent pink platform heels I recently got at Charlotte Russe. My accessories (Bold statement Necklace and teal/gold snap bracelette) also came from Charlotte Russe. I wore simple gold hoops from express to complete the look, and the NYX lip creme in San Paulo.

The second outfit is a dress I picked up from Charlotte Russe. I paired it with my red heels, also from Charlotte Rusee and gold jewelry. I love the peplum look, I have been really excited to get shirts and dresses with this flair. I think it is really flattering on any body. and  I love that this dress has small cut outs on the side, it really makes the over all plain dress stand out. To pull out the red in my shoes I wore Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red (#160) on my nails and NYX lip Creme in Amsterdam (smlc01) on my lips. I am still in love with this lip creme!

Weekend Shopping!!!

My wallet is so hurt but my closet is in love! Check out what i got!

These boots are to die for. They are called Tall Tale and they are a tan leather. I got these at my local Bakers on sale for $79.99 but online they go for $99. I love that they are over the knee. I really think they accentuate my frame and the tan color is so vibrant! One of the best things about these boots is the cotton detailing on the back of the boot. This adds a subtle design and allows for stretching over the calf.
After I got my boots I checked out the clearance jewelry section and found these gorgeous hoop earrings. They are similar to the ones worn on Basketball Wives but not as obnoxious or expensive.
Next stop: Forever 21!

I love getting my cute club wear from this store. As someone who doesn't go out too often I don't like to spend a lot of money on my club outfits, especially since I rarely wear an outfit twice. Forever 21 is perfect because you can get a cute dress for less than $20 without even breaking a sweat.
I know this dress doesn't look like much by trust me, it is killer! It hugs my curves and the color against me skin is extremely radiant. The detailing on the back is an extra plus. I would pair this with a bold shoe and accessories
Last stop: Charlotte Russe.
Usually I cant find anything in this store (I have no idea why) but today I got lucky and found two shirts.
This shirt was $19.99. Its a mid-drift top that I will probably wear with low rise skinny jeans and heals for a night time look. The material is slightly see through so I will more than likely pair it with a nude bra or bandeau top
This is the peplum of my dreams! and it was only $17.99! The peplum cut is so flattering for girls who have small hips and want to make them appear larger. I also love the cut out back and the sequined black bow. It gives this innocent, classy shirt some unexpected spice!

Impress Nails update

I am no longer wearing my impress nails. I had a fun time with them, They did last the entire week, they might have lasted longer but I grew tired of them and pulled them off. I like to change my nail color up a lot so they had to go. But I got compliments on them and I really have no complaints. I do not soak them off, I actually pull on them and work the glue loose. This process is actually on the package as one of the proper way to remove the nails. I takes a very thin layer off of my nails but I have extremely brittle nails any way. This may not happen to someone who has stronger nails.
I bought some more at Walgreens this week, they were about $7.50. They are usually cheaper at walmart, around $5 but Walgreens usually has a better selection of colors.
This time I got Big Flirt.
Excuse my camera, honestly it sucks but hopefully you can get an idea of the color. Its a very pretty hot pink. I love it and can't wait to use it!

NYX soft matte lip cream

I AM IN LOVE!!! I have never been able to find a lipstick, or a lip color or that matter that I absolutely loved but on this rainy September day I have reached mecca! In my local Urban Outfitters I found this NYX soft matte Lip cream. According to the front label it is not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It's lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft and matte.
There is no false advertisement here.

I got it inSan Paulo #SMLC08. It is a dark berry color. Very subtle, but extremely pigmented. This lip cream covers extremely well and is weightless.  I'm very happy to have found something that quenches my thirst to wear lipstick, my love of lip gloss and my need for it all to be cheap and comfortable!!
I need more!

Impress Nails

Today I used one of my favorite new products, impress Nails by Broadway nails. I've tried this twice prior to today and I have had a good experience each time. Today I used #120 "Joyride" which is a shimmery magenta or purple.
I paired the press on nails with Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear nail color #190 Posh Plum, which is almost an exact match. This shade of purple is pretty but honestly it isn't my favorite but I decided to try it out because the polish and nails matched so perfectly! Usually when I buy these nail I try to find a polish that matches to use on my toe nails. The nails come with instructions and an alcohol pad to clean your nails with. Here is the end result!

They look very natural and they feel very comfortable. There are 24 sizes so I think they will fit a wide variety of finger nails sizes. The nails are numbered which is a big help when applying them.

In my experience the nails have lasted up to 10-15 days, which is over the week the package promises. I do normal activities while wearing them, shower, wash dishes (with gloves), clean up around the house and other normal daily activities. Usually after the week is up I have one nail that will become loose and to squeeze out an extra day I will use nail glue to reapply the nail.
I really Love this product because it is more gentle on my nails than acrylic or gel nails from a salon and lasts a long time. This is idea for going out to parties or weddings, basically any time that you want to have a quick, neat and long lasting manicure. It's so easy to apply these nails that you could do this in the car if you needed to. I recommend buying these and I will in the future.
The only problem I have with them is that the vast array of colors presented online is not always present in the stores that carry them. Hopefully they create a way, or I discover a way to buy these online. Also the length of these, which is respectable, is too short. I had to cut down my own nails just to be able to wear them. It would be nice if they offered longer nails but for now, I guess this will do!

I got my Impress nails from Walmart. The usually price is anywhere from $4-$8 depending on location and style of the nails.
I hope this review was helpful and I hope you decide to try them out!

My first attempt at Ombre nails

I think I did pretty good for my first time. It's not as neat as I would have liked but over all I love this design! It was pretty easy and I think with time I can perfect this. I got the idea from surfing various videos on youtube. I will describe my process but feel free to do your own research.

You will need:
-Finger nail polish remover for clean up
-water
-a clean makeup sponge
-3 different colors (they can be 3 shades of the same color or completely different)
-Q tips
1. Start with clean nails and apply a base color. I used Sinful Colors 'Easy Going' (#300), which is a very pale pink. The purpose of this coat is to make the colors pop! You could also use white or nude.
2. Now it's time to prepare your sponge. Usually they are triangular but I cut mine so that it wasnt too much bigger than my finger to cut down on the access. Dip the sponge in water and ring out the access water.

3. In the order you want the colors to appear on your nail, apply a generous amount of polish across the flat end of the sponge. I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails 'Heart of Stone' (#230), Xtreme Wear 'Fuchsia Power' (#23) and Sinful Colors '24/7' (#920).

4. Roll the painted end of the sponge across your finger from left to right, this should leave a light impression of the three colors on your finger. The more you do this the darker your colors will be. It should look something like this :

5. Dip the Qtip in finger nail polish remover and use this to clean up the access polish on your nail.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each finger. When you are done apply a clear top coat and your done!

OOTD

Today I was cute and quirky! This outfit was perfect for running errands but with this color palette you could wear this as a casual fourth of July ensemble.
The simple white, scoop neck tee-shirt was 5/$20 at Wetseal. The jeans are the Stella boot cut in dark wash from Express. The messenger bag was on sale at Sears for $14. The brand name on the purse is Lulu nyc. The shoes were given to me by a family member so I'm not sure how much or where they are from but I do know the brand name is Mia. I get tones of compliments on these shoes when I wear them. They are patent leather, red sling back flats. Truly a thing of beauty!
And adding a special touch, my Pacific Blue nails add a patriotic flair to the red and white colors of the outfit.
To disguise my bad hair day I put my hair into a bun and tied a thin scarf into a mini mouse bow. This attracted a LOT of attention, but good attention I think lol. I got this scarf from Target for $14. The red stud earrings I'm wearing are from Wetseal and the silver necklace is also from Target.

I had a lot of fun wearing this outfit! It was really easy to put together because it is essentially a tee-shirt and jeans. You could add any color accessories to spice this up and I love having that much room for creativity.

Products I love!

Today I polished my nails with one of my favorite nail polishes from the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear nail color line. This color is called Pacific Blue (#420). I really LOVE these nail polishes because they cover extremely well, are very pigmented and last pretty long. In the picture below I only used ONE coat! I think the flash on my camera washes out some of the color but this is really a beautiful blue that I think compliments any skin tone. The name is very fitting, it reminds me of the Caribbean or the ocean. Every time I wear this color I get tons of compliments. I pretty much alternate between this nail color brand and sinful colors when buying nail polish. This brand is usually about $2-$3 at Walmart which is a steal!

**I was not sent these products to review, Everything was bought with my own money :)
